Vom Palm zum Smartphone: immer in der Tasche
Damals passte eine « mobile App » auf eine 8-MB-Speicherkarte, wurde per HotSync synchronisiert und mit einem Stift auf einem 160×160 Pixel großen Schwarz-Weiß-Bildschirm bedient. Genau dort hat Kinevia gelernt, Software für die Hosentasche zu schreiben — buchstäblich. Palm und Pocket PC sind längst im Ruhestand, aber die Idee ist geblieben: hier steht sie heute, auf iPhone, Android, Mac, Windows und Linux — und übrigens: eine der ersten Anwendungen unten, ein Nahverkehrs-Routenplaner namens Métro, gab es schon zur Palm-Zeit — in der Originalversion, die Sie weiter unten finden — und sie lebt heute noch auf den neuesten Smartphones weiter.

AGFS  |

| AGFS ("AvantGo Full Screen") is a tiny utility
(3kb) that automatically hides the title/menu bar when AvantGo
starts up, instead of having to press the "full screen" button
each time. Compatible (and tested) with PalmOS 5 and AvantGo
versions 5.7 and 6.
Release 1.0.0 (08/14/2006) AGFS has become incompatible with the latest versions of AvantGo for PalmOS and is consequently retired and no more available for download. |

NetSelDA  |

| NetSelDA is a DA ('Desk Accessory') that lets you
quickly open (or close) a network connection, using the service
of your choice.

SOnTime  |

| SOnTime replaces the (rather useless)
KeyGuard alert on your Treo with a clock, customized
with your favorite colors. The normal KeyGuard
behavior (device locking / unlocking) is not changed.

| After programming all these tools
(and a few others) over the years, I have learned a few interesting
